Flee Fornication

🔥 "Flee flea fornication — those buzzing, biting temptations of youthful lust. Chase righteousness, not restless flesh."

Absolutely. Here's a short sermon on the sin of fornication and God's power to deliver:

---

🔥 "Flee Fornication – Walk in Freedom"

Scripture: “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:18 (KJV)

📖 Today, I want to speak plainly about a sin that many tolerate, excuse, or hide in the shadows — fornication. The Word of God does not sugarcoat it. It says, “Flee it.” Don’t flirt with it. Don’t reason with it. Don’t make space for it. Run from it — because it is a sin not only against God, but against your own body.

😔 The Deception of Fornication

In a world that glorifies sex outside of marriage, purity is mocked. But Scripture is clear: “This is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication” (1 Thessalonians 4:3). Fornication invites emotional damage, broken trust, guilt, shame, and even physical consequences. It pretends to offer love and pleasure, but it leaves a bitter trail of regret.

Fornication distorts what God created to be holy. Sex was made for the covenant of marriage — a place of commitment, trust, and spiritual unity. Outside of that, it becomes a tool of destruction.

✝️ The Power of the Cross

But here's the good news: Jesus Christ delivers! You may have fallen. You may feel stained. But there is cleansing in the blood of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 lists many sins — including fornication — and then says:

> “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified…”

God doesn’t just forgive — He transforms. Through repentance, confession, and surrender, Jesus breaks chains. The Holy Spirit empowers you to walk in holiness. What once ruled you can no longer hold you when you walk in the Spirit.

🙌 A Call to Purity and Freedom

If you’re battling this sin — don’t hide. Bring it to the cross. Confess it. Renounce it. Ask for accountability. Flee from what tempts you. Cut ties with what defiles you.

You are not a slave. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit. You were bought with a price.
So glorify God in your body (1 Corinthians 6:20).

🕊️ Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for the power of Your blood. Forgive us for every act of fornication, every impure thought, every compromise. Deliver us from the spirit of lust and shame. Fill us with the Holy Spirit and a desire for holiness. Let us walk in purity, honor, and freedom. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

🙏 Father God,

Help me flee youthful lusts and chase after righteousness. Cleanse my heart, renew my mind, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Give me strength to resist temptation and live a life that pleases You.

Let my body be a temple of Your glory, and keep me pure in thought, word, and deed. I choose holiness over sin, and Your will over my desires.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Here's a heartfelt prayer for overcoming youthful lusts and fleeing fornication, grounded in the scriptures we discussed:

🙏 Prayer to Flee Youthful Lusts and Walk in Purity

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today in humility, acknowledging my weakness and my need for Your strength. Your Word tells me to flee youthful lusts and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). Lord, I confess that the temptations of the flesh are real, but I know that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Help me to walk in the Spirit so that I do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Teach me to guard my eyes, my heart, and my thoughts. Like Job, may I make a covenant with my eyes not to look upon impurity (Job 31:1). Strengthen my mind to resist every unclean thought and to reject every image, desire, or influence that draws me away from Your holiness.

Father, You said that fornication is a sin against our own body (1 Corinthians 6:18), and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Cleanse me from within and fill me with Your Spirit so that I may live in purity and honor. Let me not make any provision for the flesh, but put on the Lord Jesus Christ daily (Romans 13:14).

Deliver me from secret sins and private battles. Where I am weak, make me strong. Where I am tempted, make a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Surround me with people who walk in truth and hold me accountable in love. Let me seek not pleasure, but purpose. Not lust, but love. Not the desires of the world, but the will of my Father in heaven.

Thank You for Your mercy, Your forgiveness, and the power of the cross. I declare that I am free from bondage, and I choose to live in holiness, not shame. May my life glorify You, Lord — in thought, word, and deed.

In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
