Psalm 139:13-14 says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." ✝️ In today's Christian landscape, some ministers are exchanging their spiritual birthrights for financial gain, similar to Esau trading his birthright for a bowl of stew. Worse yet, many churches have begun charging admittance fees for ministry events, a practice akin to selling spiritual gifts. This is not only a betrayal of God's Word but also a direct affront to the Holy Spirit. In Acts 8:18-20, Simon the sorcerer was rebuked for trying to buy the gifts of the Spirit with money, a stark reminder that the power of God is not for sale. The church is not to prostitute itself by attaching a price tag to ministry or making it a business venture. This "harlot" behavior grieves God and quenches the Spirit, closing the windows of heaven that should pour out blessings (Malachi 3:8-10).

God’s gifts are meant to be given freely, just as they have been freely received (Matthew 10:8). The Holy Spirit and the grace of God cannot be bought or sold. Ministries that engage in such practices are not only robbing God but also exploiting His people for "filthy lucre" (1 Peter 5:2). They turn the sacred into the profane, prioritizing profit over purity. This commercialization of the Gospel is a direct violation of the church’s calling and must be repented of.

In conclusion, the church must repent from using worldly methods to generate profit and return to a biblical model of charity, humility, and freely giving. Ministers are stewards of God's grace, not merchants of His gifts. The church must remember that her foundation is not in wealth or influence but in Christ alone. ### What Does 1 Corinthians 13:10 Mean?

Paul is showing that love is eternal, while spiritual gifts are temporary. This refers to godly love, from the Greek word "agape," meaning sacrificial and selfless active love. Our knowledge of God and His plans for the world is relatively limited.

The gifts of the Spirit work by love—God's love—and reveal to us in part the love of God while we are still in our earthly bodies. But when we are in heaven, we won't need the gifts of the Spirit as we do on earth because we will fully know God's love.

1 Corinthians 13 is known as the love chapter. Paul speaks about God's perfect love. "Perfect" does not refer to the Word of God, as erroneous cessationists might assume, suggesting that the gifts of the Spirit are no longer needed or active in the church.

The gifts of the Spirit will be active in the church as long as the church is indwelt by the Holy Spirit on earth. The Holy Spirit's nature did not stop revealing the nature of Christ to, in, and through His body after the completion of the King James Version of the Bible. The job of the Holy Spirit is to reveal Christ, who is the prophet, healer, baptizer, performer of signs and wonders, miracle worker, author of our faith, all-knowing, all-wise, and all-revealing. Every gift of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 is a manifestation of the Spirit revealing who Jesus Christ is to and through His Church. Paul did not mention these gifts in 1 Corinthians 12 just to tell us in 1 Corinthians 13 that we don't need them anymore. In fact, we do and will continue to need them until the fullness of the body of Christ is complete.

Ephesians 4:11-13 states: "So Christ himself gave the apostles (New Testament apostles beyond the twelve apostles of Christ), the prophets (who prophesy, not just proclaim the gospel), the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit has come to reveal the person of Christ. According to 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, the gifts of the Spirit testify to the nature and ministry of Jesus. Anyone who is a cessationist and denies that these gifts are for today is also denying the Holy Spirit's ongoing ministry to reveal the person of Christ (John 16:13-14). Furthermore, equating the manifest testimony of Christ through the gifts of the Holy Spirit with the work of the devil is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31-32), which is an unforgivable sin.

Hallelujah, means “praise the Lord” but what Lord is being praised, when a song blasphemes the true God Yahweh? The song "Hallelujah" by the late Leonard Cohen, is not a Christian song. It is a song that must grieve the heart of God as it's lyrics make a mockery of King David’s relationship with God...the "Hallelujahs" are used as exclamation points of the verses lyrical conclusions. As such, it is a shameful reproach against all people of the Christian faith, who believe and worship the true God of the Bible. 

People need to read the lyrics to get a clear understanding of what it depicts. Why Christians to this day think that this is a song that should be admired and even sung in church baffles me to this day. I can only assume that it stems from pure ignorance, that Christians offer blasphemous strange fire in the pretense of God. Let’s take a look at the song lyrics of “Hallelujah” so we can more fully understand, and perceive the very telling atheistic mind-set of Cohen.

Cohen is claiming that the very God, who created music for worship, does not care for music or worship.

“The baffled king” is a reference to David in a mocker of his attempt to compose worship music to God.

These “Hallelujahs” in context of what was just written, is a mockery of David singing them to God.

Your faith was strong but you needed proof

 You saw her bathing on the roof

 Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you

 She tied you to a kitchen chair

 She broke your throne, and she cut your hair

 And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah…

“Your faith was strong but you needed proof” - Cohen, again mocks David’s faith, by inferring that his faith lacked proof that he needed.

“You saw her bathing on the roof…Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew her…

 She tied you to a kitchen chair…She broke your throne, and she cut your hair

 And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah”…

This is an obvious direct reference to David’s adulterous relationship with Bathsheba, which resulted in David’s broken throne…leaving him like unto Samson, with his hair cut, weak and helpless like an un-consecrated sinner.

Then the claim is made by Cohen, that it was Bathsheba who drew from David’s lips a true and genuine “Hallelujah” derived from his sexual sin with her.

This is blasphemy to the utmost degree.

Now the word “Hallelujah” used here in this verse, is a reference to David singing it in praise of his sexual experience with Bathsheba.

 I don't even know the name

 But if I did, well really, what's it to you?

 There's a blaze of light

 It doesn't matter which you heard

 The holy or the broken Hallelujah…

This third verse is Cohen making a false unfounded claim regarding David’s response to God.

David speaking to God -“you claim I took your (God’s) name in vain, but I don’t even know your name.”

Cohen makes David out to be someone ignorant about whom God is, and since he is ignorant of Him, then he cannot be guilty of taking God’s name in vain.

It goes on to say “But if I did, well really, what's it to you?”

This is without a doubt a blasphemous claim, which David would never make against 

God, who was a man after God’s own heart.

In other words “Hey God, even if I did take your name in vain, who I don’t even know anyway, what’s it to you if I did.”

Cohen depicts David as a vehement blasphemer, who makes a railing accusation against God, for His reproof of his adulterous sin, and thereby taking his name in vain. Yet nowhere in scripture do we ever find David making any such remarks against his maker, it simply did not happen.

The final verse depicts David as a whimsical half-hearted worshiper of God. Sounding more like someone making excuses for his adultery, as something he sees as a mere shortcoming in his attempt to obey God’s commandments, so he simply shrugs it off by saying “I did my best, it wasn’t much”…

The next claim is that David “could not feel” God. But scripture tells us that David asked 

God not to take his Spirit from him. So obviously David did know the presence of God. Cohen’s claims of David’s experience with God again are unfounded, and contrary to biblical fact.

“I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch” this is yet another reference to David making excuses for needing to commit adultery in order to feel something physically tangible with Bathsheba. Again, this unrepentant conversation filled with excuses to God by David, never happened.

 “I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you

 And even though it all went wrong

 I'll stand before the Lord of Song

 With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah”…

Cohen claims that David’s words are true, but they could not be further from scriptural historical accuracy. The claim is that David is telling God the truth, and that he is not trying to fool God, even though he admits things “went wrong” – not “a sin’…just something that “went wrong” – and regardless of his half-hearted obstinate attitude about owning up to his own sin, and his blasphemous response towards God's reproof - God should be grateful that “David” is going to come before God again, to sing a song of “hallelujah.’

What sinful pride and arrogance lay within the human heart, that one should contend with his maker and shun his reproofs, and blaspheme His holy and reverend name?

Psalm 111:9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is his name. 

Mark 3:29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.

Hallelujah is not a Christian song!

Scriptures and historical facts about Cohen to consider, before ignorantly embracing this song as being "Christian"...

The late Leonard Cohen was a Jewish man who lived at a Buddhist monastery for five years, to become a fully ordained monk in 1996. Does this sound like a person who would write a Christian song in honor of the God he never knew? While God loves the Jewish people and sent his Son Jesus (Yeshua) to die for their sins, sadly many like Cohen, did not receive him as their true Messiah (John 1:11), and missed the day of their visitation (Luke 19:44).

Christians have admired the song Hallelujah, even changing the original secular lyrics to make it sound more Christianized, yet in the process of doing so, have failed to recognize that the song remains rooted by virtue (or should I say the lack thereof) in the original blasphemous version. It really doesn’t make a difference how much you try to dress up a frog-like a Prince; it will always be a frog. 

A combination of worldly compromise and ignorance of the songs lyrical meaning has caused beguiled Christians to offer up this blasphemous strange fire to God, and treat it like it is their Christian national anthem in their churches.

The best a fallen Devil can do is imitate what he once was - as Lucifer, a worship leader who once glorified God, but now only seeks to exalt himself as God. Satan does this by demonically inspiring modern day singers and musicians to cleverly produce pretentious songs about God, cleverly packaged with the trimmings of Christian linguistics, but in reality blasphemous against God. 

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works (influence) in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 

2 Cor 4:4 The god (small “g” = Satan) of this age has blinded (like a smoke screen) the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Do You Love The World Or God?

If the love of the Father (God) is in our hearts, as his sons and daughters, then we will not be singing songs which are oriented against God. The more we befriend that which is oriented against God in the world, the more alienated we become from the Love of God our Father.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world (oriented against God), the love of the Father is not in him. 

James 1:27 Being pure in our religion means we are to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. 

Our conversation is to be incorruptible so that it does not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, whereby we are sealed unto the day of redemption Eph 4:30. 

We must “shun the very appearance of (such) evil” 1Thess 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 

2 Tim 2:16 (We are to) shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. If we are truly leading by a Christ-like example, the world is going to reproach us for the sake of Christ, because we are shining forth as lights, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation – which exposes the sins of the world and their need for a Savior. Our failure to shine as lights will only invite the powers of darkness to prevail in our midst. When the light is dimmed by a testimony of worldly compromise, the darkness will gather. 

Php 2:15 (We are to be) blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom we shine as lights in the world.” 

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Don’t walk their walk and talk their talk – walk in the light and have fellowship with Christ – 

John 8:12…I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Our Christian duty in singing songs is to - Act 26:18…open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. 

There Is No Fellowship Between Light And Darkness

We are in a battle of light versus darkness…

Rom 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us, therefore, cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 

2 Cor 4:6 God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 

Therefore – 2 Cor 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? - what communion hath light with darkness? None! You cannot befriend the things that pertain to darkness, that is alienated from the light of God in Christ in you, and then expect to fight a victorious battle against the powers of darkness. We are to reprove the works (secular songs) of darkness, not fellowship with them. 

Eph 5:11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: (therefore) walk as children of light.

While it may be true that God can use a secular song to convey a message to us, as a general rule, Christians should not be looking for God’s life among the secular music produced by the spiritually dead. God does not anoint the dead for worship but quickens Christians to be living stones in his temple, a holy priesthood unto God, to offer up spiritual sacrifices unto Him. 

 In contrast, secular songs speak of the world, because the musicians are of the world, and mind the things of this world; therefore the world hears (listens) to them and admires them because they speak of the worldliness in which they have an accord, fellowship, and communion with. 

2 Cor 1:21 Now he which establishes us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God. God has anointed Christ, and we as Christians are “anointed ones” as his consecrated body holding the head – which is Christ - Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 

Col 2:19 (We are to) hold the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of God. This means exalting Jesus and giving him glory in all we do and say.

The word “Oracle” means the speaking place of God. The holy of holies is the speaking place of God from which he spoke to the great high priest in the temple, and now speaks to us today who boldly enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19-22). Worldly songs do not covey what God has spoken to us in our communion with Him in the holy of holies.

 1 Cor 2:4 (Paul said) …my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. Do we trust in the arm of secular popularity in the flesh to bring in the harvest of souls into the church - or do we trust, as Paul did, in the demonstration of God's power unto salvation?

The USDA now requires food sellers to label their GMO products to help you identify them. The label might say “bioengineered (BE)” or “contains a bioengineered food ingredient.” But if they're labeled “certified organic,” the USDA says they can't contain any GMOs. Unfortunately, Canada is behind. There are no specific laws in Canada about labeling GM foods differently. They are labeled like any other food because our safety assessments have found them to be as safe and nutritious as non-GM foods. Stay away from bioengineered foods (always read the label) and GMO foods.

The PLU code, or price lookup number, printed on the sticker tells you if produce is organic or conventional. Learning this basic info can prevent you from accidentally buying conventional or GMO produce others mistakenly put back in the organic section.The stickers or labels attached to fruit and some vegetables have more of a function than helping scan the price at the checkout stand. By reading the PLU code, you can tell if the fruit was genetically modified, organically grown or produced with chemical fertilizers, fungicides, or herbicides.

Here are the basics of what you should know:

Conventional. If there are only four numbers in the PLU, this means that the produce was grown conventionally or “traditionally” with the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. The last four letters of the PLU code are simply what kind of vegetable or fruit. An example is that all conventional bananas are labeled with the code: 4011

GMO. If there are five numbers in the PLU code, and the number starts with “8″, this tells you that the item is a genetically modified fruit or vegetable. A genetically engineered (GE or GMO) banana would be labeled: 84011

Organic. If there are five numbers in the PLU code, and the number starts with “9″, this tells you that the produce was grown organically and is not genetically modified nor grown with pesticides. An organic banana would be labeled: 94011

This info can prevent you from accidentally buying conventional produce. I’ve accidentally picked up a few conventional fruits and veggies that were in a pile of organics. They had been mistakenly placed there by customers returning foods they didn’t want. The only way I knew I was choosing organic was by checking the PLU codes!

A few words of caution. Consumers cannot depend upon PLU codes 100%. For starters, the use of PLU codes is optional, so many produce items don’t bear them. Additionally, PLU codes were developed for the benefit of suppliers and retailers to assist them in sorting and pricing produce, not to provide information to end buyers. If GM-based food suppliers think consumers won’t want to knowingly buy their genetically modified corn, for example, they can simply decline to tag it with PLU codes. Or, if retailers don’t expect to price GM corn differently than conventionally grown corn, they can label the former with just four digits and omit the leading ‘8’ that identifies it as a genetically modified product.

If you only want organic produce, look for items that are specifically labeled as “Organic.” If you want to ensure you avoid GM produce, buy only items that are USDA certified as “100% organic,” which by law cannot contain GMOs.

By simply shopping at farmer’s markets, you can bypass all this mumbo jumbo and get fresher, more nutritious produce in the process! I always thought it strange to buy zucchinis with stickers on them.

Yummy leafy greens, mmmmm yes your favorite salads and dressing which provide B vitamins and iron will add 15 years to your life. Your body uses these to make blood cells vital to your revitalisation and rejuvenation. Spinach, kale, and romaine lettuce are good options.

Carrot and pumpkin (pumpkin seeds) are naturally sweet fruits that are high in vitamin A. Try grinding them up and adding them to your smoothie.

🍔Oh dear, here comes the hard part. Fasting periodically will also give your natural immune system the upper hand during this detox time.

Avoid toxic food drinks and products. I have found fasting periodically to resolve many health issues and have done so for 3 days up to 21 days. Never go into a fast cold turkey but drink the smoothie recipe going into the fast and coming out of the fast slowly to avoid stress, shock, and trauma to your system and body. Always consult a physician if you have health issues like diabetes etc. A good nutritionist, dietician, or even people at your local health foods store may help couch your quest for a healthy life and diet.

If evolution is the mother of all lies, some of her daughters are strange. And all contain elements of truth. So it is with global warming. True science documents that climate cycles have existed for centuries. That is the element of truth. But Satan tries to fit it into his agenda.

Since man is the apex of evolution`s process, then he must be to blame for this "climate change." "At least," reasons Satan, "if we can convince the world that this is so, we can stop progress that promotes the spread of the gospel and expand worship of the creature rather than the Creator. (See Romans 1:25.)

The industrialized nations have become wealthy beyond any other time in history. Much of that wealth has been used by Christians to spread the gospel, through foreign missions, home missions, millions of inexpensive bibles and other literature, TV and radio, and most recently the internet.

The devil has watched helplessly as Matt. 24:14 is being fulfilled. His only response is to push more lies. Global warming may be happening as part of the natural cycle of the universe. But the idea that man is causing it is far from proven. In fact, new research and the exposure of the "climategate" emails seriously damages that claim.

And Satan`s fingerprints are all over it. If successful, the move to "alternate energy sources" will severely limit the "developed world`s" ability to promote the gospel.

One of the quirkiest twists to Satan`s lies is just beginning to show up in the "rights of nature" movement. The logic is: since we all evolved, man is just another creature along with all the other animals —and plants. One is no better than the other. To illustrate the point Wesley J. Smith of tothesource.org paraphrased the Declaration of Independence from the rights-of-nature viewpoint: "We hold these truths to be self-evident," Thomas Jefferson wrote, "that all flora and fauna are created equal, that mountains are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights."

As ridiculous as this seems, the goal is the same: to limit development of natural resources so that man is poorer and less able to promote the gospel. The movement has gained enough clout that "rights of nature" are written into the constitutions of Ecuador and Bolivia. Several municipalities in the U.S. have passed laws that allow citizens to sue in court for the protection of the rights of trees and other ecosystems against development of the land by the owners.

Of course, another big lie that underlies this whole thing, is that, since the earth "evolved," over millions of years, then we must develop a "sustainable" planet for infinite future generations. Satan has persuaded the Western World to abandon the Bible and its teaching that the earth is young and will soon be replaced.

To understand the nature of the lies that we see, we must understand Satan`s main goals: to kill, steal and destroy. (See John 10:10.) Kill as many people as possible, steal as much wealth as possible to limit spread of the gospel and destroy everything else.

As believers, we are obligated to refute Satan`s lies at every opportunity with the truth of God`s word. The new Chick tract, Global Warming, presents this truth that God is really in charge of the planet. The nations that forget God and try to fix things themselves are swallowing Satan`s lies and will deserve His soon coming judgment. This is a solemn warning to anyone who is not on God`s side on these issues. For anyone who will listen, it is a strong call to repentance. For those who reject, their "warming" will be eternal, not just "global."

The theory of evolution is an attack on both God and the Bible. No God is needed if all life "evolved" from rock soup over billions of years. Man is just a highly complex mutant that accidently appeared in a hostile universe. This takes all accountability away installing the "survival of the fittest" as the standard of all behavior. No moral law, no 10 Commandments, just wandering chemical organisms trying to figure why we are here.

If evolution is true, then that ancient mythological fairybook, the Bible, is nothing more than one of many other attempts by man to explain himself and his world. Evolutionists now dream of a utopia where man's "mutations" can be accelerated by biotechnology eliminating disease, aging and poverty, creating "superhumans."

Today, every person on the planet must choose in his own mind whether there is a God or not. Oddly enough, most come up with some kind of deity, real or imagined, if they don’t know about the God of the Bible. The Theory of Evolution is only a phenomenon of the educated class in the western world. And it has only been around for a couple hundred years.

Can the Theory of Evolution be anything else but the "strong delusion" detailed in 2 Thessalonians 2:11?

Scientists Admit: Evolution Not Supported By Facts!

"Evolutionism is a fairy tale for grown-ups. This theory has helped nothing in the progress of science. It is useless," says Professor Louis Bouroune, former President of the Biological Society of Strasbourg and Director of the Strasbourg Zoological Museum, later Director of Research at the French National Centre of Scientific Research, as quoted in The Advocate, March 8, 1984.

On many campuses, any professor who admits having doubts about the "factual" nature of evolution would be laughed off the campus (and out of his job). But today, more and more courageous scientists are publicly admitting what they have known privately for years: believing in evolution requires an act of blind faith.

But What About Those Bones?

Dr. Kirby was the Senior Lecturer in Population Biology at Flinders University and was giving the case for evolution.)

"A five million year old piece of bone that was thought to be the collarbone of a humanlike creature is actually part of a dolphin rib...The problem with a lot of anthropologists is that they want so much to find a hominid that any scrap of bone becomes a hominid bone." But the World Is So Old...Isn't It?

"All the above (radiometric) methods for dating the age of the earth, its various strata, and its fossils are questionable, because the rates are likely to have fluctuated widely over earth history...It is obvious that radiometric techniques may not be the absolute dating methods that they are claimed to be. Carbon-14 Will Tell Us...Won't It?

When Did Dinosaurs Really Live?

The existence of dinosaurs long before man came along has been almost a basic tenet of faith for the evolutionist. But what if the footprints of both man and dinosaur were found together?

In the Journal of Geological Education, Vol. 31, 1983, David H Milne and Steven D Schafersman tell us "Such an occurrence, if verified, would seriously disrupt conventional interpretations of biological and geological history and would support the doctrine of creationism and catastrophism."

Well gentlemen, not only have both man and dinosaur prints been found together in Mexico, New Mexico, Arizona, Missouri, Kentucky and Illinois, but other U.S. locations as well.

Why Do They Do It?

Since the facts do not prove evolution, since the fossil record does not show any transition from one species to another, since "scientific" dating methods have been proven unreliable, let us remember that for those who desperately desire to reject God, evolution is a religion of last resort. If there is no Creator, there can be no sin, and no need of a Saviour.

A. Lunn summed up the curious faith of the evolutionist as follows: "Faith is the substance of fossils hoped for, the evidence of links unseen." (The Collapse of Evolution, by Dr. Scott Huse.) Those supposedly omniscient scientists who still teach evolution as though it were fact are finally seen for what they are...frail men willing to believe a lie because it helps them avoid the truth.
